COVID-19 Pandemic: Perspectives and Contributions of Human Sciences

Session No. 7-4
Title COVID-19 Pandemic: Perspectives and Contributions of Human Sciences
Session organizer Ogawa Sonoko (Professor, Faculty of Human Sciences, Univeristy of Tsukuba)
Date & Time 18 September (Fri.) ~ 18 October (Sun.)
Location Online

The COVID-19 Pandemic has changed our life in many ways. During the last few months, all of us are forced to keep social distance and stay home. Under this situation, we are experiencing various problems related to “diversity and inclusion”. These include assurance of equal opportunities for foreign citizens and students, the elderly, disabled, sexual minorities, etc. This produces anxiety and possible aggression derived from social isolation, mental and physical stress caused by remote lectures, meetings, and so on. We believe that scientific research conducted at the Faculty of Human Sciences can greatly contribute to solve many of these issues. In this digital poster session, we will present the outcome of ongoing research as well as perspectives for future research projects.
