Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics has been postponed and there have been far-reaching effects on the sporting world, professional and academic. In addition to the first postponement in the modern Olympic history, the Covid-19 outbreak has negatively influenced the opening of professional soccer leagues and major leagues abroad, tradiational SUMO tournamnets in Japan among others, including effect on the graduate research at diverse levels in sport. Against this backdrops, sports organizations, teams and athletes and studnets are working hard to overcome these difficulties. This joint session between TIAS and the Sports and Physical Education Center, will examine and disclose the latest research topics and interests in sports field, sport research trends and the response to PE courses and sports club activities at the University of Tsukuba from various perspectives.
