Online Poster Matching Towards Trans-Pacific Research Collaborations

Session No. 3-1
Title Online Poster Matching Towards Trans-Pacific Research Collaborations
Session organizer MORIO Takahiro
Date & Time Friday, September 10th 8:00-9:30
Location Online

Although Japan and South American countries are far apart in distance, they share the Pacific Ocean and are adjacent to each other, and have common issues such as environment, disaster prevention, and economy. The aim of this session is to match international joint research aimed at resolving common issues between the two countries. Researchers and students from University of Tsukuba and partner universities and institutions in South America will share their research in the form of poster sessions, and a core time for presentations will be set aside for direct discussions to provide advice on research and exchange ideas and possibilities for collaboration. In addition, a core presentation time will be held to exchange advice on research and ideas and possibilities for collaboration, with the aim of establishing new trans-Pacific research collaborations.

In the online poster session, we will use the Miro platform (https://miro.com/) to allow communication between presenters and participants in the form of sticky notes and other comments and responses.
There will also be an opportunity for individual discussion using Airmeet (https://www.airmeet.com). The core time is scheduled for 8:00-9:30 a.m. Japan time on Friday, September 10 (additional core time will be added as needed). (Additional core time will be added as necessary. There will be 33 presentations from Tsukuba University and its partner institutions in Latin America on a wide range of topics including health, environment, education, business, ICT, natural sciences, and humanities.

We hope that you will be able to join us for this session.
