|Title||Empirical criminological studies toward evidence-based crime prevention|
|Session organizer||Amemiya Mamoru (Associate Professor, Faculty of Engineering, Information and Systems, University of Tsukuba)|
|Date & Time||18 September (Fri.) ~ 18 October (Sun.)|
As the momentum for evidence-based policy making grows, it is necessary to accumulate empirical studies to create scientific evidence for effective crime prevention. In response to this, joint research with police departments and local governments and research using open crime data have been conducted in recent years. In this session, we introduce recent empirical research on crime and discuss the direction of future research with the audience.
