The purpose of this session is to provide an opportunity for alumni and affiliates of the University of Tsukuba to share their professional assets cultivated through their long careers and pass on their wisdom on bridging international society and Japan to those who want to follow in their footsteps and still go farther. While it is expected to be the first of a series for experienced Japan experts who have been internationally active and well versed in Japanese language and culture, the session this time around focuses on professionals from Taiwan. The second purpose of this session is to help establishing relations with stakeholders overseas as well as promoting the network of various national and international alumni organizations within the new “Paulownia Leaves Connect Together” framework. In the process, it provides an occasion to express our appreciation for their lifetime contributions to the University.

本セッションは、国際社会と日本の架け橋として活躍してきた海外の卒業生および校友が長年のキャリアで培ったプロフェッショナルとしての叡智を後進へ伝授する機会の提供を目的とする。日本語と日本文化に造詣が深く国際社会で経験豊富な知日派を対象としてセッションのシリーズ化を目指す中、第１弾は台湾の校友にスポットを当てる。また本セッションは、「桐の葉Togetherコネクト」という新しい枠組みの中で既存の国内外の同窓会組織のネットワーク化を推進する活動および海外のステークホールダーとの関係構築の一助となることを第２の目的として、海外の卒業生および校友の大学への生涯にわたる貢献に謝意を示す機会も提供する。
