The progression of population ageing and the associated rise in the number of dementia patients make the realisation of a society that supports all forms of wellbeing a global challenge. Among nations, Japan stands as the world’s most advanced super-aged society and has been at the forefront of promoting universal design to improve the lives of older adults and people living with dementia. This session will explore the current state of universal services in libraries and online, as well as future directions, including the potential use of AI, drawing on personal accounts from individuals living with dementia.
高齢化が加速し，それに伴って認知症患者も増加しており，すべての人々のウェルビーイングを支える社会の実現は地球規模の課題である．日本は世界一の超高齢社会であり，高齢者や認知症の人々のより良い暮らしを支えるためのユニバーサルにおけるリーディングカントリーになりつつある．本セッションでは，認知症当事者による体験談を踏まえつつ，図書館やWebにおけるユニバーサルサービスの現状，今後のAIの利用可能性を含めた方向性を討議する．
