In this session, we present an overview and key outcomes of the “Campus Cafeteria Menu CO₂ Visualization Project”conducted by the Organization for DESIGN THE FUTURE. The project seeks to promote decarbonization by increasing awareness of the carbon footprint associated with everyday food choices through the visualization of cafeteria menus. By integrating emissions information at the point of selection, it encourages more sustainable decision-making among users. We highlight student-led environmental communication initiatives that played a central role in designing and implementing the project. In addition, we provide empirical evidence of behavioral change and reductions in food-related waste. The session concludes by discussing practical approaches to embedding decarbonization into daily life.
本セッションでは、DTF機構が実施した「学食メニューのCO₂見える化プロジェクト」の概要とその成果を報告する。このプロジェクトでは、学食メニューのカーボンフットプリントを可視化し、日常の食選択を起点とした脱炭素行動の促進を試みた。ここでは、学生が主体となり設計・実践した環境コミュニケーションの事例紹介と、その結果として生じた行動変容および学食からの廃棄物排出への影響についての分析結果を提示し、日常生活の中で脱炭素の実践について議論する。
