TSUKUBA GLOBAL SCIENCE WEEK 2026 (TGSW2026) will welcome Mr. Yoshimasa Uno, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation Policy, who will deliver a keynote lecture at the Opening Ceremony on the theme of “Science, Technology and Innovation Policy in Japan.”
In the afternoon, the Tsukuba Co-Creation Bureau Session, “Envisioning the Future of Tsukuba Science City with Students and Young Researchers” will be held. The session will feature a panel discussion on the future of Tsukuba Science City, bringing together representatives from research institutions, private companies, and students, as well as the Mayor of Tsukuba, to exchange perspectives from a wide range of backgrounds. Mr. Uno will also participate in the session and give a comment on the future of Tsukuba Science City.

また、同日午後には、筑波共創推進局セッション「学生・若手研究者と考える筑波研究学園都市の未来」を実施します。本セッションでは、筑波研究学園都市を構成する研究機関や民間企業、学生に加え、つくば市長にもご登壇いただき、多様な立場から筑波研究学園都市の未来について議論する座談会を行います。宇野氏にもご参加いただき、筑波研究学園都市の未来についてご講評いただく予定です。
