Tsukuba Global Science Week 2026 (TGSW2026) was held from September 29 to October 3, 2026, over a five-day period at the University of Tsukuba and online.
As the 14th edition of TGSW, the event featured a total of 23 sessions. From October 1 to 3, the University Hall of the University of Tsukuba served as the main venue, hosting the Opening Ceremony, Closing Ceremony, and numerous sessions in a hybrid format that enabled both in-person and online participation.
A reception was held on the evening of the second day, providing an opportunity for researchers, students, and participants from around the world to connect and exchange ideas in a lively atmosphere. At the Closing Ceremony, outstanding students were recognized through a student award program. This was followed by an after-party, where students and faculty members had the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations across disciplines and institutions.
TGSW2026 welcomed approximately 1,200 registered participants, with more than 800 attendees visiting the venue in person. We sincerely thank everyone who participated and contributed to the success of the event.
Next year, Tsukuba Conference 2027, organized by the Tsukuba Conference Committee, will be held at the Tsukuba International Congress Center from October 6 to 8, 2027. The conference theme will be “Co-creating Global Trust through Science and Technology.”
We look forward to welcoming you to future events.
